EDITORIAL: Today is 100th day of PNP power in Jamaica, BUT..

Today, Sunday, April 15, the People’s National Party (PNP) arrives at its 100th day in power since winning general elections. While it’s leader and ruling Prime Minister of Jamaica, Honourable Portia Simpson Miller gloats about achievements, Jamaicans across the globe are showing mixed reactions.
The reactions have spiraled past being just a matter of this ruling party versus the passions of the opposition party – the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) members.

A flag suggested for Jamaica....in an open FACEBOOK GROUP speak your mind Jamaica...

The main item in discussions on facebook where voices are written and thoughts spilled is the recent FLAG FIASCO, where investigations revealed that the green was deliberately left out of the flag by designer/decorator contracted by the ‘Protocol Office’ of the national swearing -in event. The PNP’s first reaction was that they were unaffected by what was labelled as desecrating of a national symbol and insult to patriotism. Representatives of the PNP simply suggested that the fiasco was resulting from passionate Labourites hurt that their colour – green was left out. Then idle hands went further by replacing the green with the PNP’s color – orange and with added injury to fury. Media cartoonist of the Caribbean’s leading newspaper was allowed to capture and throw humour at one side — THE JLP in a cartoon that saw fat JLP members being petty over the green left out of the flag, while heir fellow Jamaicans were starving. No representation of the PNP however. So many comments later and a few more labourites nagging and an apology is offered and resignation of the protocal officer results.
NOT ENOUGH and now fabrications of excuses which seem not enough to cover up ill-intentions has literally broke the bonds of Jamaicans hellish behaviour.
This weekend was also filled with reports and reactions of other items on PNP’s agenda. The same gleaner media that posted against the JLP labourites published an article on The Failed PNP (Socialites) after 100 days. This after current PM has been boasting of the best days of the country suggesting that crime has been down. NOT so according to reports.
So now, Labourites (JLP members) are calling for more than resignation and a public apology.. not at all content with talk of suggested refunds by decorator. Truth is PNP would be better off doing something flowery even if deceitful as leading Jamaica into its 50th anniversary celebrations of Independence is any party’s dream.
